The 5th International Forum The Forest and Mankind: Present and Future of the Russian Timber Industry

Along with the International Exhibition Lesdrevmash’2010, Expocentre hosts the 5th International Forum The Forest and Mankind organized with the official support from the Government of the Russian Federation.

On September 28, the forum featured a plenary session The Russian Timber Industry:  Present and Future. Heads of federal and regional legislative and executive bodies, leaders of domestic and foreign forestry business, representatives of foreign and international organizations of the forest industry participated in the plenary session.

Participants of the Forum discussed a wide range of questions, related to steady forest management in current conditions, bioenergy potential of the forestry complex, forest organization and forest inventory both in Russia and in the world, and as well global experience of the state support of the forestry complex and international trends of its scientific support and human resourcing.
