The Organizing Committee discussed preparations for the 8th edition of the Forest and Man International Forum
According to the Press Service of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Organizing Committee of the 8th edition of the Forest and Man International Exhibition has held a meeting with Committee Co-chairman and President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin participating.
The meeting participants discussed preparations for the forum which will be co-located with the Lesdrevmash 2016 International Exhibition for Machinery, Equipment and Technology for Logging, Woodworking and Furniture Industries at Expocentre Fairgrounds, Moscow, on October 24-27, 2016.
The forum is organized by the Union of Timber Manufacturers and Exporters of Russia, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Federal Forestry Agency, Expocentre AO, and Centrlesexpo OAO.
The Forest and Man forum was first held in 2002. This year its participants come together to discuss joint efforts of the Russian federal and regional authorities, forestry enterprises, and international association on the sustainable forest management in Russia.
The forum’s program includes a plenary meeting, seminars and round tables, which will be held at premises of both the forum and the Lesdrevmash 2016 exhibition.
Lesdrevmash traditionally brings together the best Russian and foreign manufacturers of machinery for logging, woodworking and furniture industries. It welcomes about 500 companies from all over the world and 20,000 professional visitors.
Expocentre runs Lesdrevmash in cooperation with the Union of Timber Manufacturers and Exporters of Russia, Centrlesexpo, with support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Eumabois European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers, and under auspice of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
